Bunnahabhain Abhainn Araig Single Malt Whisky 50.80%

Meaning 'Araig River' in Scots Gaelic, this velvety rich dram is inspired by the waters of Islay. Created to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2022, this whisky has been matured in ex-Bourbon and PX sherry octave casks to create an unpeated, sherried, bold and complex dram. The nose has aromas of chocolate, powdered ginger and cigar box. The palate has a velvety rich texture, initially creamy milk chocolate then sweet raisins and dried raspberries. As the PX develops balsamic vinegar and honeyed macadamias come through. The finish is deep and rich, with dark toffee and a final spicy burst of cinnamon.

This bright and jammy specially treated wine cask bottling has been made exclusive to us English independent retailers. This particular cask has been hand selected by the Nc'Nean team of quiet rebels who found they could taste hints of quintessentially English sweet treats. Notes of sticky toffee pudding, buttery fudge and fruit crumble.
