Ca' Bertoldi Amarone della Valpolic 2017
Recchia is a family owned and run by Chiara and Enrico Recchia, a youthful brother and sister act. Their winemaking principles balance traditional values with modern technology. This wine is intensely rich and spicy with concentrated cherry notes.
Château Fonroque 2020
The first biodynamic château to be part of St Émilion Grand Cru, Fonroque is always one of the best value picks from Bordeaux En Primeur. The estate was the original home of the Moueix family, who own Trotanoy & Lafleur-Petrus in Pomerol, as well as Dominus in Napa, though they sold the château to the Guillard family in 2017 (Alain Moueix has stayed on as an active consultant). Stylistically the wine is all about elegance and finesse, and the 2020 is arguably their finest vintage to date.
