CAIRANNE La Boutine Domaine des Escaravailles 2022
Lots of red fruits, savory flowers, and chalky minerality emerge from the 2022 Cairanne La Boutine, a classic, elegant, medium-bodied Cairanne. All Grenache, it's going to have 4-6+ years of prime drinking.
CHABLIS 'SIGNATURE' Raoul Gautherin 2023
The 2023 Chablis Village is a clear step above the Petit Chablis this year—a distinction between Portlandian and Kimmeridgian terroir. There is just much more delineation and vivacity on the nose here. This is crisper and more direct, which translates onto the palate, which is built around a keen line of acidity. Just a touch of sour lemon lends an edge toward the finish. I like the weight of this Chablis Village. The 2023 is a superb example at this level and a great value to boot.
