Cape Heights Chenin Blanc from the Western Cape offers a ripe, honeyed expression of South Africa’s signature white grape, showcasing approachable citrus and white peach characters with excellent concentration and balanced acidity. Production Sourced from vines planted on sandy loams over granite bedrock, typical of the Cape soils, these vineyards are dry-farmed with minimal crop control due to the naturally low yields of mature vines. Part of the wine undergoes wild yeast fermentation, with a small proportion fermented in old barrels. Extended lees contact adds texture and weight to the palate, enhancing the mouthfeel and complexity of this Chenin Blanc. Tasting notes Classic baked apple and zesty citrus aromas lead into a palate of ripe stone fruit, balanced by crisp acidity.
