CHABLIS 'VIEILLES VIGNES' Domaine Raoul Gautherin 2023
The 2023 Chablis Vieilles Vignes was raised in oak barrels, so it obviously displays some creaminess on the nose. Peach skin, lychee, lemon verbena and chai aromas join in with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch more weight than the Chablis Village, but the acidity keeps it crisp. The oak is very well integrated on the finish. Give this 12 months in bottle.

Certified organic. Open aroma of pears and a touch dusty/mineral. Ripe-fruited with clementine fruit and pith on the palate. Straightforward but with notable fruit intensity on the mid palate. (JH)
