CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY 1er Cru Les Sentiers Domaine Stéphane Magnien 2023
Cask sample. Mid crimson. Riper and darker-fruited than the Morey-St-Denis Vieilles Vignes. The tannins are dry, chalky but seem a little too much for the depth of fruit. Dry finish. (JH)
MEURSAULT Narvaux Domaine Rémi Jobard 2022
(from vines of approximately 55+ years of age). There is just enough reduction to suppress everything but a touch of petrol character. There is fine volume to the solidly concentrated middleweight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the balanced and slightly more complex finale that is also clean, dry and persistent. Lovely.
