CHARMES CHAMBERTIN Grand Cru Domaine Lignier-Michelot 2015
The 2015 Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru is 100% whole cluster fruit with the same oak regime as the Clos Saint-Denis. It has a seductive and pure bouquet with perfumed red cherries, crushed strawberry, mandarin and cola scents, quite generous but with more to give in the future. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and very well-judged acidity interwoven through the brambly red fruit, leather and cedar. It becomes more masculine and structured towards the finish, almost Mazis in style, with a long spicy aftertaste.
MEURSAULT 1er Cru Charmes Domaine Rémi Jobard 2022
Smoky white orchard fruit aromas are trimmed with acacia, citrus confit and discreet spice nuances. The plush, rich and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors possess a highly seductively mouthfeel before culminating in a palate coating finale. Despite the fleshy texture, this is a Charmes of finesse and refinement.
