CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET 1er Cru Fairendes Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot 2022

Prominent petrol scents suffuse the more floral aromas of white peach along with ever-so-mildly more evident oak treatment. The equally rich, full-bodied and powerful larger-bodied flavors possess slightly more refinement, as well as a subtle bead of minerality on the bitter zest-inflected finish. This is excellent and a wine that should easily repay up to a decade of keeping.

MEURSAULT Luraule Domaine Rémi Jobard 2022

(from a .45 ha parcel of 15+ year old vines that abuts Goutte d’Or). Cool and airy aromas of just sliced citrus, acacia, hazelnut and crushed fennel are trimmed in just enough oak influence to merit pointing out. There is again fine volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess slightly better verve that carries over to the balanced and nicely dry finale. This could use better depth so a few years of keeping are in order. Worth a look.
