Chateau Boyd Cantenac Jacques Boyd 2017
' ''Mr. Jacques Boyd, an Irishman by birth, was an eighteenth-century squire in the region. In 1754 he purchased Boyd Cantenac, an estate acquired in 1806 by John Lewis Brown, united by marriage with the Boyd family. The Guillemet family entered the picture at this 3rd Cru Classe in 1932, determined to promote the estate's reputation to new heights. This 17 hectare vineyard, is enviably located on the Cantenac plateau, on gravelly outcrops yielding wines of remarkable elegance and finesse, and is the biggest producer in the Margaux appellation.''
