Château Clinet, Ronan By Clinet Bordeaux Blanc 2024

Ronan by Clinet Bordeaux Blanc 2024 is a fresh, modern white from the team behind Château Clinet, one of the historic estates of Pomerol. In the glass, the wine is pure, savoury and lively. Expect bright citrus, green apple and white peach, with a subtle herbal edge and a light mineral note from the limestone soils. The palate is crisp and energetic, with clean acidity and a gently savoury finish that keeps it refreshing and food-friendly. Château Clinet itself lies about 40 km east of Bordeaux on the right bank of the Garonne River, on one of the highest points of the Pomerol plateau, and has been producing wine for centuries. The Ronan Blanc vineyards are located in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers, on soils formed from the same limestone base found in Saint-Émilion. Predominantly clay-limestone soils enhance fruit expression, while cooler clay-loam areas provide ideal conditions for white varieties.

Kardos Dry Furmint 2021

A complex and elegant Furmint from Tokaj, this wine would be perfectly at home on any wine list, showcasing the region’s signature minerality and bright citrus character. Meet the Producer: This tiny, family-owned estate in Tokaj combines centuries of winemaking tradition with meticulous vineyard care, producing wines that reflect the unique volcanic soils of the region. Production: Grapes are sourced from 20-year-old vines in the south-facing Arany Sajgó vineyard, planted on volcanic white zeolite soils. Hand-harvested and promptly crushed and destemmed, the fruit undergoes controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks with natural Tokaji yeast. The wine is aged in stainless steel for three months, with weekly bâtonnage to enhance texture. Tasting Notes: Pale green in colour, with a fresh grapefruit nose. Flavours of grapefruit, pear, and lime follow through on the palate. Dry, crisp, and beautifully balanced, with elegant minerality and a refreshing bitter edge on the finish. Food Match: Ideal as an aperitif, or paired with seafood linguine, fresh salads, and a range of cheeses. Region/Country: Tokaj, Hungary Grape: Furmint 100%
