CHÂTEAU D'AIGUILHE Côtes de Castillon 2017
The 2017 d'Aiguilhe has turned out well. Bright floral and blood orange overtones give the 2017 terrific vibrancy to complement the sweet red/purplish berry fruit. Medium in body, fresh and nuanced, the 2017 has a lot to offer in a slightly more restrained style than is the norm for so many wines in this vintage. I very much like the sense of energy. The 2017 is best enjoyed over the next few years, while the fruit is juicy and before underlying vegetal notes become more pronounced.
