Château De La Gardine, Brunel de la Gardine Condrieu 2021

Brunel De La Gardine’s Condrieu shimmers gold in the glass, with generous aromas of apricot, peach and quince lifted by hints of violet, honey and warm spice. Rich yet poised, it glides across the palate with silky balance and a gently brioche finish. Condrieu, birthplace of Viognier, clings to the vertiginous slopes of the northern Rhône (so steep that tending the vines borders on heroic). Once nearly lost to history, the appellation now flourishes again, producing some of the world’s most seductive white wines - this one a particularly elegant example.

Pouilly Fuisse JA Ferret 2023

J.A. Ferret Pouilly-Fuissé is an elegant, mineral-driven Chardonnay from Burgundy's Mâconnais region, crafted from vineyards aged 10 to 35 years rooted in limestone and clay soils. This wine reveals seamless minerality and balanced weight with layers of stone fruits, acacia flowers, and spiced hazelnut butter, showcasing the unique character and finesse of Pouilly-Fuissé terroir. Why You'll Love It This is Pouilly-Fuissé with real elegance—refined, fresh, and beautifully balanced with exceptional ageing potential. J.A. Ferret is one of the most respected producers in the appellation, and this wine demonstrates why through meticulous vineyard management, low yields, and thoughtful winemaking. With 10 months in barrels followed by 8 months in tanks to refine balance and texture, this wine offers the complexity and finesse of premium Burgundy at outstanding value. Vineyard & Production Sourced from vineyards aged 10 to 35 years planted on granitic, marl, and limestone soils in the Mâconnais region. Low yields and attentive cultivation ensure concentrated flavours and balanced structure. Grapes are vinified in a combination of vats and casks according to soil type, then aged 10 months in barrels followed by 8 months in tanks to refine balance and texture. Tasting Notes Fresh and mineral with layered aromas of stone fruits, acacia flowers, and spiced hazelnut butter. Smooth and weighty on the palate with seamless minerality, finishing long, precise, and subtly spicy. An expression that ages gracefully. Perfect Pairings Perfect with creamy fish pies, seafood platters, vegetable quiches, grilled fish, lobster, or creamy pasta dishes. Also excellent with roasted chicken, soft cheeses, or simply as an elegant aperitif. Grape Variety 100% Chardonnay
