Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2021
The history of Grand-Puy-Lacoste goes back to the 16th century and is fascinating in many ways. The name Grand-Puy, already mentioned in the Middle Ages, comes from the ancient term "puy" which means "hillock, small height". True to its name, the vineyard sits on the ground with Medoc's first growths. From Since the 16th century the property remained attached to a single family from generation to generation, before connecting with another family in 1978 - the Borie.

It is a full-bodied red wine from Puglia, crafted by Cantine San Marzano , a cooperative founded in 1962 by nineteen local vine growers. Today, the cooperative includes over 1,200 growers and is recognized for producing wines that combine passion, expertise, and Southern Italian tradition. This Riserva showcases the depth, elegance, and richness of the Primitivo grape. Vineyards The grapes are sourced from carefully managed vineyards in Puglia, benefiting from the region’s warm Mediterranean climate and well-drained soils. The estate’s attention to vine health and sustainable practices ensures ripe, concentrated fruit with expressive aromas. Winemaking Harvested at peak ripeness, the grapes are vinified using traditional methods to preserve their varietal character. Extended aging allows the integration of complex flavours, velvety tannins, and aromatic depth, resulting in a structured and harmonious wine. Tasting Notes Anniversario 62 displays deep, complex flavours of prune, black cherry jam, and spice, complemented by notes of tobacco.
