CHÂTEAU LES GRANDES MURAILLES Grand Cru Classé Saint Emilion 2021
Majoring on raspberry and wild strawberry fruits, clear limestone signature, sappy and with lift through the finish, a little soft through the mid palate but totally charming with a grilled dried herb and fennel finish. As of 2022, this wine is to be included within Clos Fourtet, giving it an interest for collectors. Not tasted En Primeur.
Grüner Veltliner Ried Loibenberg, Smaragd, Weingut Knoll 2022
Ripe and round with orchard blossom overlaying white peach, mango and tropical notes. This is rich and concentrated, a complex, silky Gruner with a fine mineral streak and saline edge, framed with touches of spice. The vines grow in loess-covered rocky subsoils on the lower slopes of the warmer Loibenberg vineyard while above steep stony terraces are the realm of Riesling. Loibenberg’s signature is a captivating minerality which shines through in this wonderfully impressive Smaragd (the Wachau's highest classification). Delicious with huge aging potential.
