CHÂTEAU MARJOSSE Bordeaux 2018
The 2018 Marjosse shows Pierre Lurton's new focus on elevating quality at his home estate. Rich, deep and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2018 is incredibly appealing. Dark jammy fruit, rose petal, lavender and spice are all kicked up a few notches in this super-delicious red. Production is down to 120,000 from the 200,000 that was once the norm, and that new emphasis on quality really comes through. The blend is 80% Merlot, plus Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and drops of Malbec.
