Château Pichon Baron 2006
The 2006 vintage of Château Pichon Baron is a classic Pauillac. Powerful, poised, and built to age gracefully, this has all the hallmarks of a great Left Bank Cabernet Sauvignon. Château Pichon Baron, officially known as Château Pichon Longueville Baron, is one of Pauillac’s great Second Growths, classified in 1855. Established in the late 17th century, it sits just across the road from its famous neighbour Pichon Lalande. Under the ownership of AXA Millésimes since 1987 and the meticulous direction of Christian Seely, Pichon Baron has reasserted itself as one of the Médoc’s top estates, producing wines that combine intensity, precision, and remarkable ageing potential.
Roblet Monnot, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2008
All of Domaine Roblet-Monnot holdings are in Volnay and cover an area spanning 6 hectares. The vineyard turned to bio-dynamic wine making in 1997 and has 12,000 vines per hectare with very low yield of 30-35 hectoliters per hectare These combined factors have transformed the estate into one of the leading sources of wine from these communes.
