Château Pichon Lalande 'Pichon Comtesse Reserve' 2022

This is the second wine of Château Pichon-Longueville de Comtesse de Lalande, one of Pauillac's most elegant estates. The 'Comtesse Reserve' captures the house style of refinement and grace that has made Pichon Lalande legendary among Left Bank châteaux. Where many Pauillac wines rely on power, this estate has always chosen finesse. The 2022 vintage shows the château's skill with a challenging year, delivering classic cassis fruit wrapped in cedar and graphite, with tannins that speak softly but carry authority.

Savigny-lès-Beaune 'Les Bas Liards', Maison Pierre Meurgey 2023

"A charming red with bright cherry aromas and juicy, fresh fruit on the palate. Balanced tannins and minimal oak impact make this an early-drinking delight." Our note Pierre Meurgey is a rising star in Burgundy, blending tradition with modern techniques to craft precise and terroir-driven wines. His focus is on showcasing the nuanced characteristics of each appellation, from the Mâconnais to the Côte de Beaune. The 2023 vintage was particularly noteworthy, beginning with uncertainty due to a sudden heatwave in early September. Thanks to early harvesting, Pierre achieved balanced ripeness and avoided overripeness, producing wines with finesse, vibrant fruit, and excellent ageing potential. Both reds and whites are approachable young yet structured.
