Château Puyblanquet 2022
Château Puyblanquet sits on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, where the Jacquet family has been quietly crafting serious Right Bank Bordeaux since 1946. This 2022 vintage captures everything we love about this understated estate: the mineral backbone that comes from those chalky soils, the plush fruit that defines great Saint-Émilion, and the kind of structural integrity that makes you want to squirrel bottles away for a decade. The blend leans on Merlot for its generous core of dark plum and cassis, with Cabernet Franc contributing that signature Saint-Émilion perfume. This is Saint-Émilion that knows its place but isn't afraid to show some muscle.
Mt. Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2022
The climate is more continental than Marlborough’s and has similarities with that of Burgundy. Greg Lane coaxes ripe cherry fruit flavours, seasons them with toasty savoury oak and balances with tangy acidity. Wonderful with duck.
