This fragrant Central Otago Pinot Noir has vivid aromas of black cherry and spice - cinnamon. The palate has black cherries, crushed red berries, spicy tannins and dried herbs with savoury notes and mineral undertones. Intensely fruity & juicy, with a vibrant yet silky palate. Cherry block is a collaboration project between a top Otago producer and the team at Antipodean Sommelier. Larry Cherubino Uovo Cabernet Touriga is a distinctive blend combining Cabernet Sauvignon with Touriga Nacional, a Portuguese grape known for its intense colour and flavours. Made in a clay cement ovoid tank (a giant "egg") from Frankland River, this full-bodied wine showcases firm tannins, good acidity, and exceptional ageing potential with notes of dark fruit, blackberry, black cherry, spice, and tobacco. From the exceptional 2021 vintage in Frankland River with rainfall at just the right times, this wine uses zero sulphur throughout winemaking (minimal at bottling only) with no added tannin, acid, or animal fining products, offering exceptional quality and distinctive character. The 2021 vintage was exceptional with rainfall falling at just the right times, producing Cabernet with exceptional tannin and colour. Made in a clay cement ovoid tank where lees are continuously forced upward by an internal vortex, giving the wine voluptuousness, purity, and texture. Zero sulphur used throughout winemaking with only minimal amount at bottling. No added tannin, acid, or animal fining products. Tasting Notes Rich and full-bodied with firm tannins and good acidity. The nose has notes of dark fruit, blackberry, and black cherry, along with hints of spice and tobacco. On the palate, flavours of ripe fruit, chocolate, and coffee.
