CHIANTI CLASSICO Nuovo Poggerino 2022
The 2022 Chianti Classico Nuovo is 100% Sangiovese done entirely in cement. It offers lovely forward red-toned Sangiovese fruit along with complicating floral, savory and earthy undertones, all in a mid-weight style that is hugely appealing. The purity of the fruit is striking. Interestingly, proprietor Pietro Lanza prefers to use slightly larger bunches in this bottling, as he feels they are better suited to vinification and élevage in cement.
LA RIOJA ALTA Reserva Viña Ardanza 2019
The 2019 Reserva Viña Ardanza is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha from Rioja Alta. Its bouquet opens with cherry liqueur, black fruit and balsamic herbs alongside a touch of pepper. Dry, silky and just fresh enough, it offers good body with agility, polished tannins and a velvety feel. The long, sapid finish continues with gentle grip. This is balanced and expressive—a classic Rioja with a modern, fruit-driven flourish.
