Cihuatan Cinabrio 12 Year Old Rum
In the heart of every bottle of Cihuatan Cinabrio lies the Sleeping Woman, Mayan goddess and guardian of the Cihuatan valley. Legend has it that the Sleeping Woman, guardian goddess of the Cihuatan valley, would intercede on behalf of the people of Cihuatan so that Kinich Ahau would energize the valley with his warmth. His symbols were two hummingbirds. A rich and complex rum with aromas of candied fruit, wood and sugar cane. On the palate it is pistachios, fresh herbs and plums while the finish brings notes of caramel, orange zest and woody notes. The Cinabrio has rested and matured for 12 years in American Oak and ex-Bourbon barrels in El Paisnal, San Salvador, El Salvador.
Sunset Captain Bligh XO
An XO rum hailing from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, distilled from molasses using a modern two-column still, and diluted to 87.5% before aging for approximately a decade in first-fill Kentucky bourbon barrels. This rum has garnered numerous gold awards at various rum festivals. The scent profile reveals light caramel, brown sugar, creamy vanilla, coconut milk, and a hint of freshly cut grass. On tasting, the rum presents a predominantly smooth experience with notes of oak and vanilla, though it retains some rugged edges. The aftertaste is dry with hints of coconut flesh. Overall, this rum offers a splendid bourbon barrel-matured profile.
