Clemens Busch, Marienburg 'Fahrlay-Terrassen' Riesling Trocken GG 2020
Clemens and his wife Rita are the charming and humble couple behind Clemens Busch, a winery that has gained a cult following over the past three decades for their laser-sharp, richly textured, terroir-defined wines. Among the first German winemakers to embrace organic farming in 1984, their estate fully transitioned to biodynamic production in 2005. They are members of the prestigious VDP organisation of the top producers in Germany.
Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru 'Sous Frétille', Pierre Meurgey 2017
Pierre Meurgey's 2017 Premier Cru, Sous Frétille is bright and elegant, with aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a touch of hazelnut. The palate is finely chiseled - leaner and racier than many Côte de Beaune whites, yet there’s a lovely creaminess that rounds things out. The 2017 vintage brings freshness and vibrancy, making it approachable now but with the structure to age gracefully for several more years. A classic choice for anyone who loves mineral-driven Chardonnay, it pairs beautifully with seafood, roasted poultry, or creamy dishes where its crisp acidity cuts through richness.
