Rum Dhu Black Spiced Barrel Aged Cornish Rum
Rum Dhu is fermented on the cliffs of Cornwall up above the sea spray. Distilled on copper pot stills before being spiced and aged in oak casks. Black spiced rum is a type of rum that is infused with spices and other flavourings, giving it a distinct taste and aroma. The spices used in black spiced rum can vary, but common ingredients include vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. The process of making black spiced rum usually involves blending aged rum with spices and other natural flavours. The resulting mixture is then aged further to allow the flavours to meld and deepen. Black spiced rum can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed into cocktails. It is often used in tropical drinks and tiki cocktails, where its bold flavour can stand up to other ingredients. The inspiration for this rum has been taken from the ocean, its hidden gullies and kelp forests, deep below the rolling room of Cornish swells, the howling wind and thunder during squalls.
