Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka
Zubrovka Bison Grass Vodka is a herb flavoured Polish vodka distilled using rye. The distilate is then flavoured with bison grass, a wild grass that is cut by hand. This gives the vodka a green hue and a distintive flavour of almond, vanilla and coconut. Bison Grass only grows wildly in Bia_x001A_owie_x001A_a which is located in Eastern Poland. This wonderous place is sadly the last virgin forest in Europe and home to the continents only bison herd. Every bottle of Zubrovka sold in the UK contains a single strand of Bison Grass. The tradition of using this aromatic grass to create vodka can be traced back to at least the 16th century and its inclusion adds a freshness to the vodka that would otherwise be unachievable. Zubrovka is traditionally enjoyed neat from the freezer but it's also regularly mixed with apple juice to make what's known as a Frisky Bison.
