Why You'll Love It This is an accessible introduction to the world of orange wine, crafted with extended skin contact to create natural colour and gentle tannins. Made from certified organic Sicilian grapes and produced with minimal intervention, it offers the intrigue of skin-contact winemaking with bright, approachable fruit character. The playful name reflects the wine's fun, easy-drinking nature, while the quality and craftsmanship deliver serious value for those exploring natural and orange wines. Meet the Producer Azienda Agricola Cortese is an organic estate in Vittoria, south-eastern Sicily, committed to producing wines that reflect the terroir and the natural character of the grapes. The winery combines traditional Sicilian practices with careful, minimal-intervention winemaking to craft wines that are authentic, expressive, and sustainably produced. Production The Inzolia and Zibibbo grapes are hand-harvested and fermented on their skins at controlled temperatures of 17–19 °C. Inzolia undergoes a maceration of 2–3 weeks, while Zibibbo is macerated for six weeks, with gentle daily punch-downs during the early phase of fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the wines are blended and left on fine lees for approximately three months before bottling, enhancing texture and complexity. Tasting Notes The wine shows a luminous orange colour and aromas of fresh citrus, tropical fruits, and delicate floral notes. Weingut Stadlmann, Grüner Veltliner 2022
Weingut Stadlmann Grüner Veltliner 2022 is a clean, mineral-driven take on Austria’s classic grape, shaped by the limestone soils of the Thermenregion rather than the richer loess soils found elsewhere. In the glass, bright and focused - green apple, citrus and a touch of melon, with that signature Grüner hint of white pepper. There’s a lightly chalky, almost salty edge running through it, giving the wine a more restrained, precise feel than many fuller styles. The palate is crisp and high in acidity, finishing fresh, zesty and very drinkable. Fermentation is done with minimal intervention, and the wine is bottled young to preserve its freshness and purity. Overall, it’s a classic, no-frills Grüner that's bright, mineral and easy to pair, especially with fish, salads or lighter dishes.
