Côtes De Nuits-Villages, Aux Montagnes, Pierre Meurgey 2019
This appellation stretches across the Côte de Nuits, from Corgoloin to Fixin, with this particular vineyard located in Corgoloin at the top of the slope, near the marble quarry. Pierre is known for producing impressive Pinot Noir, and this wine is no exception. It offers aromas of red and black fruits, complemented by floral notes and a hint of vanilla. While designed for early drinking, it will benefit from a year or two of cellaring. An excellent value wine, ideal with feathered game, free-range poultry, or Guinea fowl.
Petit Vega Ribera del Duero Reserva 2017
From one of Spain's most renowned winemakers, this full-bodied, ripe and generous red uses Tempranillo grapes grown on limestone soils at nearly 900m above sea level. Serve with roast lamb.
