Crabbie's Green Ginger Wine, 13.5% vol
In 1801 John Crabbie invented this green, tangy, ginger wine. Ingredients include ginger, lemon and orange zest, cinnamon and cloves. It makes an ideal winter warmer, or is very refreshing served ice cold on a hot summer's day.
Dubonnet, Apéritif à Base de Vin, 14.8% vol
A wine-based apéritif with a sweet smoothness and an attractive bitterness from the quinine and other herbs used to flavour it. Its invention was encouraged by the French government to ward off malaria in the colonies.
