This is a rich, dry and biscuity sparkling wine from the southwest of France with a refreshing citrus character. Made from 70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc and 10% Pinot Noir grapes. Exclusive to Waitrose.
Waipara Springs, Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Waipara Springs Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, expressive Sauvignon from New Zealand’s Waipara Valley, showing a slightly softer, more rounded style than the sharper Marlborough examples. It opens with lively notes of citrus, passionfruit and gooseberry, alongside a gentle herbal edge. On the palate it’s crisp and refreshing, with good concentration, balanced acidity and a clean, zesty finish that keeps it very drinkable. Enjoy it together with grilled prawns, fresh oysters or white fish; it also works really well with salads, goat’s cheese or lighter Asian dishes where its freshness and aromatics can shine.
