Diplomatico No.1 Batch Kettle Rum 70
Diplomatico has released a new range of limited edition rums showcasing Diplomatico's differing distillation processes. Kettle No.1 is a batch distillation, which means that a a volume of fermented liquid is introduced for distillation, as this is gradually depleted, it leaves a residue of water, which is then drained off to be added to the next batch. This is controlled by Maestros Roneros and is considered a semi-artisanal system. This rum has been been selected from the best sugar cane honeys and aged for 6 years in bourbon casks which results in a complex medium bodied aged rum. Sweet vanilla with notes of cherry and strawberry, complex with a touch on banana. Well balanced palate, sweet initially followed by tropical fruits, finishing soft and slightly sweet.
