Named in honour of Élisabeth, one of the estate's early muses, this wine captures the warmth and sunshine of the Mediterranean while maintaining the freshness and balance that makes it so easy to love. Viognier is one of the world's most seductive white grapes all apricot, peach, and honeysuckle and this is a beautifully crafted, food-friendly expression of the variety at a very approachable price. Vineyard & Production Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness during the cool hours of early morning to preserve aromatic freshness. After gentle pressing, the juice undergoes cold settling before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the delicate floral and stone fruit aromas characteristic of Viognier. A short maturation on fine lees adds roundness and texture to the palate. Tasting Notes Brilliant pale gold in colour. The nose bursts with apricot, peach, and honeysuckle, complemented by subtle citrus zest and a hint of exotic fruit. A refreshingly restrained take on Muscat from Spain’s Mediterranean coast. Bright, aromatic and clean, this is a modern expression of a traditional variety, offering exotic fruit character with a crisp, mineral finish. Meet the producer Founded in Valencia in 1927 as the Spanish subsidiary of the Swiss Schenk Group, Bodegas Murviedro has grown into one of the region’s leading producers. Their philosophy blends respect for local traditions and indigenous grape varieties with cutting-edge winemaking technology. This balance allows them to craft wines that capture the distinctive character of Valencia and Alicante while appealing to a global audience. Production The Denominación de Origen Protegida Alicante lies on Spain’s eastern coast, enjoying abundant sunshine and the moderating influence of the Mediterranean Sea. Inland, the higher-altitude vineyards benefit from a more continental climate, creating excellent conditions for balanced, aromatic whites. Only the best Muscat grapes are selected and carefully harvested before vinification. After a period of cold maceration in a pneumatic press for 6–8 hours, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 14°C using selected yeasts to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity.
