Domaine de la Grande Courtade Chardonnay Organic 2022

La Grande Courtade Chardonnay is an organically produced Chardonnay with a fresh, pure, and charming expression, showing generosity from oak ageing balanced by lively acidity. Meet the Producer The Fabre Family have been making wine for over 400 years, with their estate rooted in the Languedoc. Their historic cellar, built in the 18th century, still houses the original vats used by their ancestors. The vineyards for this wine come from the family’s La Grande Courtade holdings, carefully managed to produce ripe, high-quality Chardonnay grapes. Production Grapes are harvested at night and pressed immediately. 20% of the juice is fermented in oak barrels and aged 6 months on its lees with batonnage, while the remainder is vinified in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The wine is made from a blend of well-ripened and earlier-picked grapes, balancing richness with crisp acidity. Tasting Notes A generous yet fresh Chardonnay, displaying pure fruit and subtle oak nuances, with a clean, vibrant finish that highlights the grape’s natural freshness despite the warm southern climate. Food Match Delicious with simply grilled fish, pan-roasted in butter, or roasted vegetables. Grape Varieties Chardonnay 100%

Spier Seaward Chardonnay 2022

'A chic seaside holiday in a glass. Made with grapes handpicked from the breezy Tygerberg Hills, this Chardonnay is as elegant as it is versatile: the perfect accompaniment for fireside reading, sweltering poolside afternoons or sophisticated dinner parties. Being lightly-wooded, its citrus-dominated flavours are rounded out by creamy vanilla; the oak offers structure without being overbearing. Serve with garlicky mussels, parmesan mushroom pasta, roast pork or butternut soup.'
