Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2019

A classic white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the Plateau de la Crau, made from a traditional blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. The fruit is hand-harvested and vinified with care, with fermentation and ageing in a mix of barriques, demi-muids and large foudres to preserve balance and freshness while adding texture and depth. Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s benchmark estates. Owned by the Brunier family since 1898, the domaine farms its vineyards on the stony Crau plateau, a terroir renowned for producing wines of structure, longevity and clarity. While celebrated for its reds, the estate’s whites are equally serious expressions of place, combining Mediterranean richness with poise and restraint.

Meursault Les Clous, Domaine Eric Boigelot 2018

We're always keeping our eyes peeled for top value producers in Burgundy, and certainly Éric Boigelot is one of the most exciting we've found to date. "We're always keeping our eyes peeled for top value producers in Burgundy, and certainly Éric Boigelot is one of the most exciting we've found recently. The domaine neighbours Coche Dury - to whom Éric is selling grapes, which gives a clear indication of the quality they produce. ‘Les Clous’Lieu dit on same elevation as Narvaux but other side of town up by Saint Christophe view point. These are the last few bottles of the 2018 vintage and are drinking perfectly at the moment." Tom, Wine Guru The domaine is next door to Raphael Coche Dury - to whom Éric is selling grapes, including all his Narvaux (sadly!). Coche no longer writes domaine on the label because of the need to source fruit externally – an amount of which comes from Éric. If it's good enough for Coche, it's good enough for you should be the strapline here...
