This elegant blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Meunier marks a significant milestone in English sparkling wine, combining French winemaking heritage with the unique terroir of Kent's countryside. The First Edition showcases the potential of English terroir with balanced dosage (7g/L), elegant structure, and the refinement you'd expect from this prestigious collaboration. Vineyard & Production Sourced from Domaine Evremond's 60-hectare estate in Chilham, Kent, planted on chalky soils similar to Champagne. The base wine comes predominantly from the 2020 vintage (80%), complemented by reserve wines from 2019 (20%). The wine was blended and bottled in spring 2021, then aged gracefully on lees for over three years before disgorgement in August 2024. Future editions will feature a gradually increasing share of Chardonnay as new vineyard plots reach optimal maturity. Tasting Notes Elegant and refined with fine, persistent bubbles. Crafted from old vines of massal selection planting on a south-facing site in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the NV Brut Premier Cru Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes offers up an elegant, complex bouquet of white peach, pear, herbs, lemon oil, pastry and tangerine. Fleshier and deeper than its siblings, it's medium to full-bodied, vinous and charming and has a delicate, vinous core of fruit that leads to a long, saline and slightly anise-inflected finish. This blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay (based on the 2019 and 2020 vintages in equal parts) was disgorged with a dosage of 5.5 grams per liter.
