Domaine Klur, Gewürztraminer Le Katz Noisette 2024

This 100% Gewürztraminer comes from old vines, around 50 years of age, farmed organically and biodynamically. In the glass, it shows a bright golden hue, with lifted aromas of rose petals, lychee and exotic fruits like pickled mango. The palate balances a touch of residual sweetness with fresh acidity, giving it a juicy, off-dry feel and a surprisingly long, clean finish. It’s a very flexible food wine — great with gently spiced Asian dishes like Thai curry or Vietnamese cooking, but equally good with glazed pork belly or smoked salmon. The combination of aromatics and subtle sweetness makes it especially suited to dishes with a hint of spice or sweetness.

Undurraga Terroir Hunter Chardonnay West (T.H.) 2022

Undurraga Terroir Hunter Chardonnay is a refined coastal Chilean wine, offering inviting aromas of butterscotch and chamomile flowers complemented by toasted hazelnut and subtle ginger. Elegant and mineral-driven, it finishes with a saline freshness that beautifully showcases the Limarí Valley terroir. Meet the producer Founded in 1885, Undurraga is one of Chile’s most prestigious wineries, recognised globally for its terroir-driven wines. The estate spans 1,350 hectares across top Chilean wine regions, including Leyda, Cauquenes, and Itata. Certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile, Undurraga combines traditional winemaking with a philosophy of minimal intervention, letting the vineyard’s natural expression shine. Head winemaker Rafael Urrejola, awarded ‘Red Winemaker of the Year 2023’ by the International Wine Challenge, leads the iconic Terroir Hunter range. Vineyard The grapes are sourced from a 2.39-hectare vineyard in Quebrada Seca on the western side of Limarí Valley. Planted with Chardonnay clone 548, the site benefits from a semi-arid, marine-influenced climate, with misty mornings, windy afternoons, and cool nights. The vineyard sits on an ancient alluvial terrace with 50% gravel and calcareous subsoil, enhancing the wine’s mineral character. Low rainfall and consistent sunlight allow for slow ripening, resulting in concentrated flavours and balanced acidity. Winemaking Hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted to ensure only the highest quality clusters are used. After gentle pressing and cold stabilisation, fermentation occurs in a combination of egg-shaped concrete tanks and large Burgundian oak barrels (16% new) using natural yeasts at 15–17°C. The wine is aged on lees for 10 months with regular bâtonnage, imparting weight, texture, and depth. Tasting notes Fresh aromas of chamomile flowers, lemon, melon, and pear are layered with toasted hazelnut and subtle oak spice. Smooth and creamy on the palate, it balances rich texture with coastal freshness, fin
