One of the most famous estates in the Ribera del Duero region is owned and run by Peter Sissek, a Dane, who established it in 1995. His first vintage was met with extreme high acclaim from the likes of Robert Parker and has gone on the achieve "cult" status.

Pierre Meurgey, a fourth-generation winemaker, is now bottling remarkable wines under his own name and is just beginning to gain recognition. His father, Henri, was a highly respected courtier and oenologist in the Côte d'Or, admired by all growers. Pierre, known for crafting high-quality wines that are designed to age well, is definitely also a winemaker to watch.
