Production Grapes are harvested from selected premium parcels and gently crushed. Primary fermentation is followed by maturation in 500L French oak puncheons, with 80% new and 20% one-year-old barrels, allowing the wine to undergo malolactic fermentation and develop structure and complexity. Minimal intervention throughout preserves the wine's natural expression. Tasting Notes Vibrant on the nose with black cherry, blueberry and spice notes. Siesta is the personal project of renowned Argentine winemaker Ernesto Catena, whose biodynamic philosophy and artistic sensibility shape every wine he produces. The Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc showcases the purity, elegance and quiet power that this variety can achieve at altitude in Mendoza. Viticulture Sourced from high‑altitude vineyards in the Uco Valley, the fruit benefits from intense sunlight, cool night-time temperatures and well‑drained alluvial soils. Biodynamic farming underpins the entire project, with Catena prioritising soil vitality, biodiversity and natural balance. The vines are tended with minimal intervention, following lunar and seasonal rhythms to encourage healthy growth and expressive fruit. Winemaking Grapes are hand‑harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented with native yeasts to preserve the vineyard’s character.
