Escarpment Chardonnay 2020
A Burgundian-inspired Chardonnay from the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough. Vibrant and crisp, with tangy citrus and yellow stone fruit flavours, complemented by hazelnut, flinty minerality, and subtle oak nuances. Finesse and balance define this elegant expression. Vineyard & Terroir Te Muna Road site, Martinborough – cool climate and well-draining soils promote slow, even ripening and concentrated flavours. Winemaking Partial malolactic fermentation with 11 months aging on lees in 20% new oak barrels. Minimal intervention preserves the wine’s natural freshness and texture. Tasting Notes Crisp, tangy, and finely balanced; citrus and yellow stone fruits with flinty, nutty, and subtle oak layers. Food Pairing Pairs beautifully with seafood, roasted poultry, creamy pasta dishes, and lightly seasoned vegetable dishes. Grape Variety Chardonnay
