Etsu Japanese Gin

Gin Etsu is from Japan and means pleasure, linking somewhat naughtily to the Geisha depicted in the bottle's artwork. Distilled in Hokkaido, this gin uses a secret Asian recipe passed down through the generations. Many Japanese botanicals are used including berries, pepper, tea and the yellow Yuzu flower which also adorns the box decoration. The nose is very floral, dominated by the Yuzu flower with some citrus and vegetal notes also. The palate is fresh with good balance between peppers, green tea and berries.

Portofino Italian Dry Gin 50cl

Portofino Italian Dry Gin is an exceptional, ultra-premium craft spirit that captures the glamorous essence and sun-drenched beauty of the Italian Riviera. This artisanal gin is meticulously produced using a bespoke selection of hand-picked botanicals, appealing directly to the growing global demand for high-end, Mediterranean-inspired spirits. Crafted to serve as a sophisticated foundation for elevated drinks, it stands out as a magnificent addition to any luxury back-bar, mixing flawlessly into a classic gin and tonic with a sprig of rosemary or a refined Italian negroni for discerning consumers. The aromatic profile opens with a bright, welcoming bouquet of fresh lemon, crisp grapefruit, and a fragrant burst of coastal rosemary and lavender. On the palate, this premium gin delivers a beautifully balanced, multi-layered depth of flavour where the initial notes of sweet citrus and traditional juniper harmonise with delicate hints of marjoram, sage, and a touch of Mediterranean olive. The tasting experience is characterised by a remarkably smooth, velvety mouthfeel, concluding with a clean, crisp, and incredibly long finish that leaves a refreshing trail of sweet citrus zest and aromatic herbs. The brand takes its name and visual inspiration from the picturesque village of Portofino, a world-famous symbol of Italian luxury, timeless style, and effortless elegance. Founded as a heartfelt tribute to a beloved grandfather who spent his life enjoying the region, the company honours local heritage by sourcing classic botanicals grown on the hillsides overlooking the Ligurian Sea. By combining traditional distillation methods with advanced modern techniques, the producer successfully creates a liquid that mirrors the vibrant spirit of the village, presenting a harmonious blend of coastal luxury, authentic craftsmanship, and premium lifestyle appeal.
