FELTON ROAD Pinot Noir Bannockburn 2024
Attractive and ready to drink from release, the 2024 Pinot Noir Bannockburn is pure and unadulterated with aromas of freshly picked blackberries, black cherry and blueberry. The palate is very welcoming, with juicy, succulent fruit and a softness on the mid-palate. The medium-long finish is scented and attractive, with spices, cedar and a sense of line. This is a very pleasurable but classy Pinot from the off.
SAINT AUBIN Compendium Domaine Joseph Colin 2021
(for the US market this is labeled as ‘Mes 7 Terroirs’). A cooler and more floral-suffused nose reflects notes of green apple, lemon-lime and a hint of orange peel. The sleeker though not denser flavors offer more evident minerality and excellent definition on the youthfully austere, moderately dry and balanced finale. This should drink well early but also with a few years of keeping.
