Fowey Valley Sparkling Vintage Cornish Cider
In times gone by, the Fowey Valley was famous for its orchards, attracting boat trips in the late spring to view the spectacular apple blossom. Fowey Valley's orchard is one of the few to continue to produced prized cider in this part of the country. They make this Sparkling Vintage Cider with a high proportion of dessert apples to give it that delicious traditional method taste. They do not use sulphates or preservatives. The apples are pressed then fermented twice, first in the barrel for a year and then a second year's fermentation that gives this cider its wonderful bubbly effervescence, a method invented in the West Country for fine cider making around 1600, well before it was used in France for Champagne!
Polgoon Aval Sparkling Cider
Polgoon Sparkling Elderflower Wine is a light, crisp, and refreshing aperitif, perfect for garden parties or casual celebrations. Aromas of elderflower and lemon balm lead to a delicate palate with a persistent mousse, offering a refined and uplifting sparkling experience. Superior fruit is pressed and fermented to create a dry sparkling wine, which is then subtly infused with elderflower juice. The wine is made using the Méthode Traditionnelle, the same method employed by the producers of France’s finest sparkling wines, ensuring elegance and quality in every bottle. Production The wine is crafted with care, fermenting high-quality fruit to produce a light, dry sparkling base. A gentle infusion of elderflower juice adds aromatic complexity without overpowering the wine. Méthode Traditionnelle is employed to develop a fine, persistent mousse and enhance texture. Tasting notes The nose is bright with floral elderflower and subtle hints of lemon balm. On the palate, the wine is light, crisp, and refreshing, with a persistent effervescence that carries the delicate flavours beautifully. Food match Ideal as an aperitif, with light canapés, fresh salads, or fruit-based desserts. Awards Winner of The Taste of the West Gold Award 2015
