This 9 year old single malt from GlenAllachie has been lovingly aged in hogsheads that have previously held Amontillado sherry. Amontillado sherry begins life as a Fino sherry and undergoes an additional maturation period without a 'flor' layer. This stage of oxidative ageing develops a richer colour and more robust characteristics. The outcome is a single malt that brims with dark cherries, toasted hazelnuts and caramel sauce.
