Glencadam 14 Year Old Reserve De Cognac Single Malt Whisky
Glencadam Reserve de Cognac is a rare and exceptional limited edition single malt, one of just 4,800 bottles, personally created by the Glencadam Master Distiller. Distilled in 2006 and matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before a finishing period in the finest Cognac casks sourced from the Cognac region of France, it is a whisky of extraordinary complexity, depth, and elegance that stands apart from anything else in the Glencadam range. Why You'll Love It The Reserve de Cognac represents Glencadam at its most ambitious. Selected from the distillery's historic dunnage warehouses, this single malt was chosen for its exceptional quality before being finished in premium Cognac casks, adding a layer of richness and refinement that transforms an already outstanding spirit into something truly special. With only 4,800 bottles in existence, this is a whisky for those who appreciate rarity, craftsmanship, and the kind of complexity that only comes from exceptional cask selection and patient maturation. Distillery & Maturation Distilled at Glencadam in Brechin in 2006 and matured for 14 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks, building the distillery's characteristic freshness and fruit character. The whisky was then expertly finished in the finest Cognac casks from the Cognac region of France, where the residual Cognac imparts additional layers of richness, dried fruit, and warming spice that elevate the spirit to a new level of complexity. Selected personally by the Master Distiller from Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses. Tasting Notes The nose is inviting and complex, with roast chestnut and peanut brittle overlapping sweet bramble and summer fruit pudding. On the palate, lovely layers of soft almond nougat, mocha, and fresh crepes mingle with lemon oil, hazelnut cream, and warming baking spices. The finish is toasty and warming, with dark berry fruits fading into ground coffee and a lingering cigar spice. Best enjoyed neat to appreciate the full complexity of t
Teaninich 2008 Cask 710888 11 Year Old Single Malt Whisky Berry Bros & Rudd
This is a firm, nutty and fruity malt with bruised apples and sugar-sprinkled baked pastry emerging on the nose. The mouth-feel expands nicely to deliver cider apples and toasted crumpet notes, with a dash of honey to bind it nicely. This is full, fruity and malty to the last with a good long finish. Teaninich is to be found near the Cromarty Firth in the North East Highlands. Founded in 1817 by Captain High Munro, the distillery produces malt whisky in high demand from blenders. The mashing process is different here as they use a mash filter rather than the conventional mash tun to extract the worts. Distilled in 2008, drawn from Cask #710888 after ageing for 11 years and bottled in 2019 by Berry Bros. & Rudd
