Handcrafted from carefully selected sherry butts and bourbon casks from Glencadam's dunnage warehouses, then finished in Oloroso Sherry butts from Andalucia, it is a rich, sherry-forward expression of real depth and elegance. Bottled at natural colour, unchillfiltered, and at 46% ABV. Distillery & Maturation Glencadam distillery has been producing whisky in Brechin in the Eastern Highlands since 1825. The Reserva Andalucia is handcrafted from a marriage of carefully selected sherry butts and bourbon casks from Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses, before being finished in Oloroso Sherry butts sourced directly from the Andalucia region of Spain. The result is a whisky where the famous fruitiness of the Glencadam spirit is beautifully balanced with sultana richness and sweet spice from the Oloroso cask. Bottled without chill filtration and at a full 46% ABV. Tasting Notes The nose opens with initial aromas of ripe soft fruits, soft nougat, and oaky vanilla, with a background of freshly made fudge. On the palate, smooth and creamy with sultanas, orchard fruits, and toffee apple sweetness. Lochlea Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Our Barley is the ongoing core single malt expression from Lochlea which sits along side the seasonal limited editions. The Master Blender has carefully honed this recipe and with a combination of bourbon, sherry and STR there is a while new level of depth and complexity to the final whisky. Aromas of pear, warm cut grass and thick cut marmalade. The palate is packed with warm golden syrup, pepper, rye bread and cream soda. The finish is long lasting with orange beeswax at the very end.
