GlenDronach 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky

GlenDronach 12 Year Old Original is one of Scotland's most celebrated sherried single malts, matured for a minimum of twelve years in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying, it is bottled at natural colour, non-chill filtered, and at 43% ABV, preserving the full character of this exceptional Highland spirit. Why You'll Love It The GlenDronach 12 Original is the benchmark expression for lovers of sherry-matured Scotch, offering a level of richness, depth, and complexity that is rarely matched at this price point. The combination of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks builds a profile of extraordinary sweetness and warmth, with raisins, soft fruits, and creamy vanilla developing over twelve years into something truly special. Non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour, every drop of flavour is preserved exactly as nature intended. An outstanding everyday dram and an ideal introduction to the GlenDronach house style. Distillery & Maturation GlenDronach distillery has been producing whisky in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland since 1826. The 12 Year Old Original is matured for a minimum of twelve years in a combination of Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, the two cask types that define the GlenDronach house style. The PX casks contribute rich dried fruit sweetness and dark sugar, while the Oloroso casks add depth, nuttiness, and warming spice. Bottled without chill filtration and at natural colour to preserve every nuance of the sherry cask maturation. Tasting Notes The appearance is a deep amber-red gold. The nose is sweet and creamy, with vanilla, hints of ginger, spiced mulled wine, and pear. On the palate, rich, creamy, and silky-smooth, with warm oak and sherry sweetness, a full mouth feel, raisins, and soft fruits, with a spicy character and medium length leading to a dry finish. The conclusion is long, full, and firm, with a slightly nutty linger. Best enjoyed neat or

Laphroaig Quarter Cask takes its inspiration from the small casks often used for Scotch Whisky in the 19th century and frequently transported across the Glens by packhorse. As the industry grew, they fell into disuse and bigger and more cost effective barrels became the norm, for maturation and transportation. However as single malt lovers may know, the relationship between the barrels and the maturing spirit is critical. We noted that the small cask size gives up to 60% greater contact with the wood compared to some of the larger sizes used today, thus greatly intensifying the maturation process. It was decided to recreate some of the Quarter Casks and the flavours they produce. We transferred some still maturing Laphroaig from our larger style barrels into the Quarter Casks. There then followed a further periods of maturation in our original Dunnage Warehouse No1. The result surprised and delighted us. The additional oak influence creates a soft sweetness and velvety feel when first tasted, then
