GlenDronach Ode To The Embers Sherry And Smoke
The scent of smouldering peat, the warmth of the Highlands, and memories of bygone days bring us home again. Days when malt kilns cloaked barley grain in a warm smoke. This is an Ode to the Embers, a celebration of traditional whisky-making. A richly aromatic expression from The GlenDronach, it combines peated notes with the complex flavours of Oloroso sherry casks, enriched with their signature Pedro Ximénez casks. Aromas of cinnamon spiced toffee, apple and caramelised walnut brittle. The palate is rich with raisins, bramble grenache and smoked chocolate fudge. Ode to the Embers is a rare peated expression within The Master’s Anthology, a collection of fine single malts from The Glendronach. The Master Blender invites you to explore the breadth and depth of sherry cask maturation. Each expression in this collection is exceptional in character and taste, celebrating different aspects of our rich and rewarding Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Torabhaig Legacy Series Cnoc Na Moine
The third and final release in the Legacy Series from Torabhaig on the Isle of Skye. This is a heavily peated single malt made with concerto malted barley with an in grain pehnols content of 78.4 PPM. Fermented with pinnacle and anchor yeasts and then aged in a mix of American oak oloroso, pedro ximenez and ex bourbon casks. This is then bottled at 46% with a residual phenols level of 19.7 PPM. This is a robustly peated spirit with a deceptively refined character resulting in a complex and characterful maritime whisky.
