Glenglassaugh Evolution
This Glenglassaugh has been matured in ex-George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels and bottled at 50% vol. Sweet and buttery with caramelised orchard fruits and dried coconut, smooth and rounded.
Jura Seven Wood
Jura Seven Wood is a complex single malt and is comprised of whisky from no fewer than seven different types of oak wood barrels. It's a testament to Jura's Master Blender's skill that this whisky is able to exist. The barrels involved are first fill ex-bourbon barrels, American White Oak, Limousin, Troncais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges casks. There's chocolate, ginger spice and coffee on the nose. The palate is complex but surprisingly balanced with baked peaches, liquorice and sweet orange with the finish revealing subtle smoke and saltiness. This is an unusual amalgamation of French and American Oak aged single malts that really works wonders on the taste buds.
