Glenmorangie A Tale Of Tokyo Limited Edition Single Malt
Globe-trotting whisky creator Dr Bill from Glenmorangie has a soft spot for Tokyo. Every moment in this city of contrasts calls to his senses, as he steps from peaceful garden to bustling street to vibrant city bar. To celebrate the many sides of Tokyo, Glenmorangie have matured their high quality whisky in casks from Japan's sought-after Mizunara oak. Aromas of slowly smoking incense curl around sweet toffee, bursts of pepper counter bright, bitter cherries. Then fresh orange zest fades to almond flakes and sweet oak.
Jura 18 Year Old
Jura 18 Year Old is the oldest expression in the new range from this distinguished Island distillery. It's the most premium expression in a series that showcases a new style for the distillery's drams, marrying together elements of both Island and Highland whisky. The core principal is that each expression is matured in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a variety of ways. The Jura 18 Year Old is no different, starting out maturing in bourbon barrels before being enhanced by red wine barrels. This single malt is rich, full bodied with refined smoke notes. You will be greeted by the aromas of toffee, cinnamon and tropical fruits. The palate opens up into red fruits, dark chocolate and coffee. The Jura Seven Wood may be the most complex dram in the new line up but this is certainly the most sophisticated.
