Nardini Grappa Riserva 3 Year Old
Nardini Grappa Riserva is a precious aged grappa from Distilleria Nardini in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, rested for a minimum of three years in Slavonian oak casks. Born at the beginning of the 1900s from an intuition of the Nardini family, it is a symbol of their unique capacity for continuous and enthusiastic innovation, and one of the finest expressions of aged Italian grappa available. Why You'll Love It Distilleria Nardini is Italy's oldest grappa producer, established in 1779 at the foot of the famous covered bridge in Bassano del Grappa, Veneto. For over two centuries the family has been at the forefront of Italian distilling, combining traditional craftsmanship with a spirit of innovation that has made Nardini synonymous with quality and heritage. Grappa Riserva is the house's most celebrated expression, a wine that rewards patience and precision in equal measure. Three years of oak ageing transforms the raw intensity of fresh grappa into something altogether more refined, warm, and complex. Production Distilled using a combination of pot still, bain-marie, and column distillation, a meticulous process that extracts the full aromatic richness of the grape pomace while preserving elegance and balance. The distillate then rests for a minimum of three years in Slavonian oak casks, during which the ageing process enriches its perfume and taste with subtle wood scents, adding warmth, softness, and a rounded complexity. Tasting Notes Transparent with amber tones in the glass. The nose is fragrant, delicate, and harmonious, with subtle wood scents from the oak ageing. The palate is smooth and intense, enriched by the complex nuances of cask ageing, with warmth, softness, and a long, elegant finish. Serving Suggestions Perfect after an important meal, best served neat at room temperature to fully appreciate its warmth and complexity. Also excellent as a digestif alongside dark chocolate or aged hard cheeses.
