Hampden Great House is an exclusive Distiller’s Edition, crafted by Vivian Wisdom and available in limited quantities at the distillery and in Europe. Inspired by the historic colonial-style mansion established in 1753 by the Stirling family, this blend pays homage to Hampden Estate’s rich heritage. A carefully selected blend of two distinct rums, Great House combines 80% OWH 2012—Hampden’s lighter formula—with 20% <>H 2016, an iconic high-ester mark celebrated by rum experts worldwide. The result is an intensely fruity and complex expression, bottled at full strength. On the nose, expect notes of roasted pineapple, rum cake, peppermint, and a hint of smoke. The palate delivers warm and spicy flavours, with white pepper, cream pastry, and a touch of candy and mint. The finish is long and lingering, revealing fresh-cut herbs, exotic ripe fruits, and subtle tobacco leaf undertones. A bold and distinctive rum that captures the essence of Hampden craftsmanship.

J Bally Millesime 2002 Rhum Vieux is deceptively sweet on the nose exhibiting rich honeyed notes with candied orange undertones and hints of toffee. On the palate they are worthy alternatives to great brandies showing great complexity and balance. Spicy, developing into a character evoking nuts, spices, hints of chocolate, citrus peel and oak. The rounded rich palate with a mellow creaminess gives way to a rich and lingering aftertaste with hints of spice and fruit.
