Hatozaki Pure Malt Whisky

This Pure Malt is named after the Hatozaki Lighthouse, the oldest stone built lighthouse in Japan that resides near to the Kaikyo Distillery in the Akashi port since 1620. A very easy drinking Japanese Whisky. A very light straw colour is present in the glass. A rich profile of sweet cerals and malty dried fruit with a light touch of smoke and honey on the finish. It is a vatting of 100% malt whiskies which have been aged in imported bourbon and sherry casks and native Mizunara oak barrels.

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky is one of the more distinctive expressions in the Nikka lineup, made entirely from malted barley but distilled in the brand’s signature Coffey stills — equipment normally used for grain whisky. This unusual approach gives it a character that sits somewhere between classic malt richness and the smooth, rounded profile of Coffey‑distilled spirits. It reflects Nikka’s long history of experimentation, rooted in Masataka Taketsuru’s mission to blend Scottish technique with Japanese precision. Its aroma shows soft vanilla, gentle oak, ripe stone fruit and a touch of caramel. On the palate, it offers a smooth, creamy texture with notes of toffee, peach, light spice and a subtle biscuit‑like maltiness that sets it apart from traditional single malts. The finish is warm, mellow and lightly sweet, making it an approachable yet distinctive whisky that showcases the innovative side of Japanese distillation.
